This bowl is handcrafted from red earthenware clay and then painted with ceramic slips, oxides and underglazes. The sgraffito technique creates and illustrative quality to the poetic imagery. 
 
The painterly and decorative nature gives the ceramic pieces a contemporary rustic aesthetic.
